This section includes data on industrial Statistics at Level of production, No. of establishments, generated electric energy and its distribution, general index of Manufactures production and building and construction indicators in different sectors. The first industrial statistics in Egypt was conducted with the process of population public census in 1937, then a comprehensive industrial statistics was conducted every 3 years by following the comprehensive enumeration method for the years 1944, 1947 and 1950. The coverage and periodicity changed to be collected every two years as of 1952 until 1956 on establishments which employ 10 employees and more, then the periodicity changed once again to be annual as of 1957. As of 1964/65 round, this annual statistics has included all public/public business sector establishments in addition to the private sector establishments which employ 10 employees and more and performing industrial activities, in addition to investment sector by comprehensive enumeration method. As of 2002 CAPMAS publishes the three sectors in "Commodity industrial production annual bulletin in (public / public Business / Private sectors ) establishment of the private sector.
