This is the forty Seventh issue of the Statistical Year Book for the year 2019. The Book is issued annually by National Centre for Statistics and Information in view of the increasing importance of the statistical data, Alongside gradual transformation of the international community to information-based society, and the increased reliance of decision makers and planners on the available statistical data for studying and analyzing options b e fo re to formulation of policies, strategies and taking appropriate decisions.The NCSI is continuing its efforts to update and develop the contents of the book and its presentation style, aiming to cover all the economic and social activities in order to provide all the required statistical data which is necessary for both the public and private sectors, the establishments, individuals and groups of researchers, scholars and others.
