The publication of Government Finance Statistics presents the data according to economic and functional categories to facilitate analysis of the trends in government revenues and expenditure. The scope of the publication has been prepared to present government expenditure by major functional groups. Concepts and definitions have also been effected to be in conformity with international standards and recommendations. Details of these variables are dealt with in the explanatory notes.
